What we're looking for:The Blue Book network is looking for an experienced sales representative to take on our role of Business Development Consultant. You will support a customer base in an assigned territory. You be responsible for servicing customers, reselling and renewing existing customers and selling new business within your assigned territory. You will be responsible for uncovering the customer story. Learn and discover ways The Blue Book Network's services and products can enhance your customers' exposure and drive usership. Tasks will include presentations, job-site visits and other related activities to leverage your customers into The Blue Book Network. You will learn to uncover your customer's passion and feature their unique qualities in our Who's Who Magazine. Become a known figure in your local industry trade associations. Last but not least, the experienced Business Development Consultant we're seeking will represent The Blue Book Network and its products in a professional, ethical and responsible manner at all times. Skills you possess that we want: You're seriously organized, your co-workers come to you for advice on how you plan out your daily schedule You handle rejection from all angles to achieve the results you desire You're an early bird and you don't mind starting off your day calling on customers even if it takes 80 -90 tries You're tenacious and you are fierce at winning the numbers game You're a champion of emotional connections, you understand passion and are enlivened by the "stories to be told" of our customers You're a record holder in the game, "Monkey in the Middle", you can prospect, you love the "thrill of the hunt", all while building relationships for your customers and learning to leverage The Blue Book services as the go to source for hiring and buying decisions Minimum Qualifications: Minimum education requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Successful track record and proven experience within a B2B sales and marketing vertical Strong sales skills including prospecting, forecasting, presenting and closing Strong proficiency with computer apps, Windows-based software and Microsoft applications Exceptional time and territory management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical skills Ability to travel daily within assigned territory and to scheduled regional team meetings Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent industry experience Experience in advertising sales within on-line media sales Knowledge of and/or experience in the architectural/product manufacturing/construction industries; a plus! Experience with CRM software a plus!
