Customer Projects Manager

Opportunity Snapshot
This position is responsible for the development of customer specific projects from concept to fulfillment. This includes customer interface, obtaining vendor quotes, working with both internal and external
design/engineering, creation and maintaining of time lines. You will work cross functionally with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Engineering and Quality to ensure that DWK is meeting the customers requirements. Project Manager works with DWK Sales Reps as technical liaisons on custom projects as well as Premium Service options. Our Premium Service options include but are not limited to, Barcoding, Decorating, Cleaning and Sterilizing.

To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have:
:BA/BS in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
:Minimum of 5 years experience in packaging products sales and manufacture.
:Minimum of 5 years experience in relative sales channels and markets.
:Very strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. Computer skills include : SAP, Excel, Access, Project, and Powerpoint. Familiarity with SmartSheet, SalesForce, and Tableau

Just as important as your experience and skills will be the following characteristics and competencies:
:Thorough understanding of how plastic and glass manufacturing supply chains operate and are coordinated with sales and marketing efforts.
:Specific knowledge in plastic and glass packaging as related to the following markets: Life Science, Pharmaceutical Packaging, Diagnostic Packaging, Reagent packaging.

The Role:
Reporting to the Senior Customer Projects Manager the main activities and results will include:
:Manage, create, and guide new customer projects as part of the premium services offering.
:Maintain and grow product line profitability.
:Utilize SmartSheet, cloud based project management tool, as the primary method of internal and external communication on project status.
:Provide Sales Associates with direction on questions/issues that arise in the field regarding product.
:Work with the Business Analyst and Pricing Administrator to analyze competitive situations and provide guidance on industry trends.
:Work with customers to obtain specifications for new equipment when needed for a project.
:Work with the Marketing Manager to understand how the marketing plans will drive the direction of products in support of our overall business strategy.
:Coordinate and communicate product changes internally : initiate, communicate, and/or finalize all changes occurring to products, by utilizing the Engineering Change Notice process; externally : notify existing customer of pending changes and obtain approvals.
:Work with Marketing to define and develop new business, as well as identify current customer growth opportunities
