Our client is a large manufacturing company in Salisbury. This is a full time, permanent, position with benefits

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to complete the following as well as other duties which may be assigned:
:Oversee the development of the engineering department which is focused on equipment, manufacturing process and tooling improvements. In addition, the incumbent will support approved innovation activities with other members of the mills management team.
:Reviews and analyzes the execution of the maintenance plans and performance metrics. These performance metrics include OEE, downtime, equipment history, departmental budget, workforce utilization, etc.
:Drives maintenance management through use of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
:Champion, lead, participate, and review a variety of capital project requests and drive timely implementation for approved projects. This will include the close coordination of projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
:Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
:Own and role model Plymouth Tube values and behaviors by embracing and participating in an operating culture that promotes involvement, communication, mutual trust and respect, expectations and accountability, and a passion for excellence.
:Understands, applies and advocates all Company Environmental and Safety policies, procedures and standards.
:Understands, applies and advocates all Company Quality Standards.
:Attends all prerequisite training as required by management.
:Has the authority to stop process to correct quality, safety or environmental problems, and to promptly notify Supervisory personnel when processes are noncompliant
:Must be self:motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
:Maintains knowledge of equipment and manufacturing technology changes
:Utilization of Lean Manufacturing techniques
:Working knowledge of ISO 9002

Education and/or Experience: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or comparable technical degree. BSME preferred. 10 years of manufacturing experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess the following language skills:
:Can speak and communicate effectively to technical and non:technical staff at all levels.
:Can read and write to effectively communicate information and technical concepts, and able to produce effective written documentation.
:Has the ability to present information effectively as well as respond to questions from management groups and customers.
:Can correctly interpret documents such as written instructions, spreadsheets, drawings, lists and manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability advanced statistical analysis methods as required by lean six sigma as well as other mathematical analysis including exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations.
Experience/proficiency with Minitab (or comparable program) is a plus. Ability mathematical analysis to a broad range of industry areas including inventory, sales, manufacturing processes, maintenance, and quality.
