TheSystems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of networkresources with a focus on server management. Duties include theinstallation, configuration, operation and maintenance of the hardware andsoftware elements of the server systems and sub-systems to support companybusiness functions. This technical, operations-centered role is seen as acritical member of the IS team. Primary Responsibilities Performs daily monitoring of server systems; reviews system and application logs; verifies proper scheduling and completion of automated tasks. Installs and configures hardware; installs and configure server operating systems; installs and configure supporting applications. Perform ongoing performance tuning of the various server systems. Generate appropriate documentation of system configurations. Provides input in planning\managing IT product and service development. Stay current with developments in new technologies and platforms. Plans, implements, directs and monitors the integration of new technologies into the server systems as required. Assists with formulating IS policies, procedures, and performance management processes and measures. Performs other duties as directed. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related technical field; or equivalent work experience. 3 or more years working in IS and business/industry. Microsoft Systems Administration certification (or equivalent.) Experience with Microsoft Windows Server platforms up to and including version 2016 R2. Experience with VMWare. Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of current and emerging technologies. Project management skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and balance multiple projects. Solid oral and written communication skills
