Position Summary: This position develops and delivers essential business operations reports for the Operations business unit. Responsibilities include SQL database maintenance, development and delivery of daily operations reports using commercial reporting software. Under the direction of the Operations Reporting Manager, this position coordinates development sessions to thoroughly understand the reporting requirements and changes needed to support business requirements. This position will have responsibility for maintaining data, developing and maintaining adhoc and operations reports. The incumbent will develop, test, and maintain SQL databases for Operational business units. Key Responsibilities: Develop Operational Reporting- 45% Update / distribute daily operations report Development of reporting tools to support business requirements Create dashboard reports using commercial reporting software Communicate / present data to all levels of management Automate reports using commercially purchased tools Dashboard Creation and Maintenance- 30% Use BI tools to create and maintain dashboards for line of business Ensure that datasets are appropriate for business needs. Evaluate performance against corporate plans Validate that reports measure desired business metrics Documentation- 10% Create and maintain run documents for reports Create and maintain report wiki site to document reports and their fields Data Maintenance- 10% Design and implement database structure changes Update tables and stored procedures as new fields are added Create data views to facilitate customer reporting needs Monitor regularly scheduled jobs to ensure the database is being properly maintained Technical support 5% Ensure communication between IT and Operations Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Experience: 2-3 years overall operations experience 2-3 years experience in data analysis, reporting, and/or documentation 2-3 years experience SQL or SAS database experience Student or consumer lending experience 1+ years Microsoft Office proficiency (1+ years) Other helpful education or experience: Enterprise reporting software experience Banking / lending experience Operations reporting experience SAS E-Guide experience Tableau or other BI tool experience Flexcel Knowledge Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong SQL database knowledge Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills Strong organization and attention to detail General OS knowledge Strong problem solving and follow through Good negotiation skills Ability to meet tight deadlines
