The candidate will be responsible to support migration and creation of new applications in the RQD organization. The AD candidate will need to adopt a disciplined development, testing and releases SDLC for analytic applications in support of various Risk, Operations, Marketing and business processes. The candidate must exhibit a thorough understanding of application development and SDLC, data structures, data manipulation, distributed processing and automation. The candidate should have background in understanding of risk products, data systems, data environments and processes that are necessary to support quantitative analytic solutions in production. The individual must be an Application Development applied technologist to development a business engagement to support multiple applications. **Responsibilities:** RQD Risk Quant SAS Application Developer will interface with the business to develop and productionalize SAS applications in partnership with stakeholders in Risk, Finance and other banking business groups. This individual must help the customer clarify their needs and then develop solutions that meet and/or exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on SAS technical, project management skills and an understanding of data systems, and must take full ownership of the end-to-end implementation. The individual must be able to fully conforming to the firms IT control policies and standards in execution. Responsibilities include: + 5+ years of relevant Agile development SDLC experience in systems and applications management. + 5+ years of combined business, project management, team leadership & IT experience + Experience in leading and managing AD with key expertise in SAS language and products are mandatory. + Experience in other AD languages; Java, .Net, C++, R, Python, etc as well as multiple other technologies, design techniques and experience working across large environments with multiple operating systems / infrastructures is a plus. + Experience with version control tools and processes (GIT and GIT Bitbucket etc.) + Proven experience working within an Agile development mature teams + Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with team members and external business contacts including consultants and vendors + Experience in full-lifecycle project management methodologies and tools including iterative development models + Contribute to the group's knowledge base by finding new and valuable ways to approach problems and projects + Perform duties in line with all IT policies and controls of the firm. **Education:** + Bachelor's degree in computer science or specialized training, equivalent work experience. **Essential skills, experience, and qualifications:** + Exceptional application development discipline and SAS product domain knowledge. + 5 years experience designing and developing SAS applications on UNIX, Microsoft and Linux based platforms. + Must have experience in managing multiple deliverables to business group in service delivery manger role and ability to build stronger customer relationships. + Agile SDLC delivery experience is strongly preferred. + Cloud experience is desirable. + Experience preferred performing Level 3 AD incident management and break-fix support (diagnostics and recovery) + Effective written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytical skills + Excellent planning, prioritization and organizational skills + Excellent oral and written communication skills + Successful achievement in a team environment + Deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines + Expertise in managing conflicting priorities under pressure and ability to influence technology partners without authority. + Previous experience working in large financial organizations is preferred.
